Spanish Teacher (FT), Philadelphia Area
The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, an independent Catholic school for girls located in Villanova, Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time Spanish teacher beginning November, 2017. Faculty and staff are actively engaged in the Notre Dame community, and embrace the mission and values of St. Julie Billiart and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, creative teacher who demonstrates an enthusiasm for working with middle school and high school aged girls, a commitment to innovative pedagogy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a comfort and familiarity with the use of relevant technology to enhance learning.
Competencies Required

Assistant Professor of French, Lafayette College
The Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures at Lafayette College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track assistant professor position (3/2 teaching load) beginning Fall 2018. Area of specialization 20th-century and contemporary French/Francophone literature and culture. Strong preference will be given to candidates with the ability and willingness to teach survey-level courses on 17th- and 18th-century literature and culture. In addition to maintaining an active and productive research agenda, the successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at all levels of the undergraduate French program and in the College core curriculum. Native or near-native proficiency in French and English is required. Ph.D. required at time of employment. Salary and benefits very competitive.

The Sewickley Academy is seeking a LTS French Teacher to begin October 31, 2017 and conclude March 16, 2018. This individual will be responsible for teaching the following courses: French I, II, III, IV, Intensive (V), and CHS (an advanced-level course in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh). Grant Opportunity for Critical Languages
We are pleased to announce the opening of the Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP) grant application! TCLP is fully-funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and helps U.S. K-12 schools to launch new or expand existing Arabic or Chinese language programs.
TCLP makes it easy for U.S. schools to grow their critical language programs by placing fully-funded teachers from Egypt, Morocco, or China to teach Arabic or Chinese as a foreign language for an academic year. By sharing their languages and cultures, the teachers bring global competencies to their host schools and communities. Host a teacher in 2018 by starting an application today!
Since 2006, TCLP has sponsored 262 highly trained teachers that have worked in 173 schools across 38 states and impacted over 79,000 students! TCLP teachers have also collectively conducted over 14,200 hours of cultural outreach to bring international experiences to their host schools and communities.
