Congress Approves New K-12 World Language Grant Program

On December 9, 2019, the House and Senate agreed to establish a new world language grant program in 2020 as a part of the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The World Language Advancement and Readiness Program directs the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Education to create a competitive grant program for "the establishment, improvement, or expansion of world language study for elementary school and secondary school students".

PSMLA 2017 Teacher of the Year Cherie Garrett will be back at Kutztown University for another half-day workshop on Saturday April 18, 2020! 

The topics presented will include kinesthetic activities and free tech (e.g. Pear deck, Flipgrid, Quizlet live, etc.).
