Celebrating 100 years of PSMLA!
100 Years of PSMLA: A glance into the archives
In 1987, PSMLA and the Slippery Rock University Department of Modern Languages and Cultures sponsored two major activities: the PSMLA Poster Contest and the Who’s Who in Foreign Languages in PA high schools (not affiliated with the national Who’s Who).
· There were two categories of Poster contests one for grades 7 – 9 and one for grades 10 -12.
· Who’s Who awardees must have an A average over at least two years of foreign language study, have a minimum of sophomore or tenth grade standing, regular involvement in language activities, and demonstrated support for the value of foreign language study.
