PSMLA / Messiah College Central PA Workshop – April 30, 2016
PSMLA and Messiah College invite K-16 world language teachers to the Spring 2016 Central PA Workshop on April 30, 2016. Join us for an engaging morning of professional development at Messiah College. Two sessions will focus on activities that motivate language learners that you can implement easily at any time of the year. We also will feature an immersion session in which participants will choose a cultural topic presented in French, German, or Spanish. PSMLA members can earn 3 Act 48 hours. Register by April 20. Student Award Nominations
As a benefit of PSMLA membership, you may nominate a student for the PSMLA Outstanding Graduating High School Seniors Award. This is a monetary award and prizes are given for first, second and third places. Additionally, the names of winning students and their schools will be featured on the PSMLA website. Teachers must be PSMLA members and may nominate one student per world language that they teach. All applications must be received by April 18, 2016. MLAPV/PSMLA Integrated Performance Assessment Workshop and Immersion Day
Please join us on April 30, 2016, at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia for a workshop on the Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA) presented by Bonnie Adair-Hauck, University of Pittsburgh. The workshop, titled “Using the Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA) to Improve Learning and Instruction” is offered by the Modern Language Association of Philadelphia and Vicinity (MLAPV) and co-sponsored by PSMLA.
