New Record Set for Recipients of PA Seal of Biliteracy (PASB)
Congratulations to the 20 school districts who recognized more than 300 high school seniors for being proficient in English and a second language upon high school graduation during the 2022-2023 school year!!! If you would like to join the cadre of districts offering the PASB, visit the PSMLA webpage and click on the Advocacy Tab. Under the PA Seal of Biliteracy, you will find an updated Google slideshow and the webinar from last week.
Hispanic Heritage Month Resources
Did you know that you can find a wealth of resources for Hispanic Heritage Month on the PSMLA webpage? Click on the Resources tab and then click on “Teacher Toolbox.” You will then see “Hispanic Heritage Month” which includes links to articles, videos, activities and more.
The Stahle Professional Development Scholarship for PA World Language Educators is accepting applications!
The purpose of this scholarship is to support Pennsylvania K-12 world language teachers or teacher candidates in their pursuit of lifelong learning through conferences and workshops specifically designed to address world language education.

Antietam Middle-Senior High School has an immediate full-time opening for a world language teacher. The students have been learning Spanish, but the district is willing to consider any language cert. Someone coming in with a language other than Spanish will be able to start a program from scratch.
