PSMLA and Messiah College invite K-16 world language teachers to the Spring 2017 Central PA Workshop on April 22.
Join us for an engaging morning of professional development at Messiah College. This interactive workshop will focus on strategies for teaching grammar in context and in the target language. This is a concept that all language teachers know we are supposed to do but often struggle to achieve. In the first hour, participants will be introduced to and experience the PACE model of grammar instruction. In the second hour, participants will collaborate by language or level with facilitators to develop a lesson for their classroom. The workshop will conclude with the sharing of lesson ideas and a discussion of implementation.
Registration and continental breakfast open at 8:00 a.m. The workshop will begin at 8:30 and conclude at noon.
Registration is $20 for PSMLA members and Messiah College faculty, $30 for non-members, or $10 for full-time students. Non-members may join prior to the workshop to take advantage of the $10 member discount.
PSMLA members can earn 3 Act 48 hours. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
