PSMLA and Messiah College invite K-16 world language teachers to the Spring 2018 Central PA Workshop on March 24. Join us for an engaging morning of professional development at Messiah College. This interactive workshop will focus on strategies for integrating technology in the world language classroom. Attendees will choose from 30-minute breakout sessions on programs, apps, and techniques facilitated by local K-16 language educators. There will also be time dedicated to the sharing of ideas, hands-on practice with facilitator support, and networking. Registration includes a continental breakfast as well as a lunch with conversation in the target language. |
A tentative list of session topics include the following: Duolingo, Flipgrid, flipping the classroom, GooseChase, Kahoot, Nearpod, screencasting, Symbaloo, and VoiceThread. We will also be joined by Ms. Cherie Garrett, PSMLA Teacher of the Year!
PSMLA members register at a reduced rate. Non-members may become members prior to the workshop to take advantage of the $10 member discount and extended membership through June 2019. Members of the AATF Susquehanna Valley Chapter also register at a reduced rate and will hold their chapter meeting during lunch. Please note our refund policy.
PSMLA members can earn 4 Act 48 hours. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
